RARE Vintage HERMAN MILLER Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman Black Wood White Leather

  
Up for sale is an extremely rare and true vintage original, Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. This rare and remarkably preserved set fratures the very seldom seen, factory original, black and white color variation in white leather upholstery and factory black painted plywood shells for both the chair and ottoman.

The set is a true matched pair and original. This is not a guarantee but a best guess based on the information that we have available. The shells, bases, back braces and screws/attachment components are all fully intact, original, solid and sturdy with no loose or missing components. Still intact and prominent are the Herman Miller labels (see photos). This fantastic, unique and exceedingly rare set is ready to add a formidable component to any discerning collection or home. A SPECIAL NOTE ON THE AGE OF THIS PIECE. The exact age of this piece is not finite as several pieces of information that we have on this set are somewhat vague.

We estimate this set to be a Series 3/3rd Generation production from the 1970s. This is not a guarantee. This set is in good condition overall.

It is in an exceptionally preserved state for its age. Notably, the original white leather upholstery is intact but dry and cracked in many different areas on both the chair and ottoman.

There are no tears or holes. To the naked eye, the white of the leather in-person appears a slightly more light gray. This is just from the age of the leather. The true color is white. The leather should be recondition and moisturized before use to prolong the life of the leather/set.

The factory original, black painted shells on both the ottoman and chair display heavy scratches, wall scuffs, chips and dings. The shells display no major damages like cracks, damaged screw components or other function altering issues. Please look over all of the listing photos carefully and ask any questions that you may have. What you see pictured here is what you will be receiving.
